- 1 tin can of crushed Tomatoes, 28oz
- ane loving cup of Butter Beans (lima beans), cooked or uncooked.
- 1 stalk of Celery
- 1 large Carrot
- ane modest Onion
- three medium Red Potatoes
- 1 half head of pocket-size Cabbage
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- Salt, to taste as needed.
- Identify ham bone in large Dutch oven pot, embrace with water.
- Place over medium heat. Let simmer for one 60 minutes.
- Remove the ham bone and let it cool afterward one hour is up.
- Rinse the vegetables under cold running water.

If y'all don't have a leftover ham bone, you can easily substitute a ham hock or some other blazon of pork seasoning to add together to your goop.
